The "Mitte Hitte" has been a well-known attraction for skiers for many years! But our restaurant is now becoming the an inside tip for the summer too! Families and hikers appreciate the excellent cuisine and friendly atmosphere. Not only is it simple to reach us on foot all year round; in summer it's also easy to get to us by car from Sand in Taufers (turn left after the Schlossgarage).

In 1975, the restaurant was purchased by the Niederkofler family and is now lovingly and successfully run by the second generation.. There was previously a lift station next to the building, where you would have to change lifts to reach our famous ski resort and mountains: hence the name "Mittelstation" ("halfway station"). It is a name synonymous with hospitality, tradition and a down-to-earth attitude.

Our bar and restaurant are open daily in winter. The kitchen is open until 3.30pm.


In addition to our large terrace, 100 seats on the ground floor and 70 seats on the first floor offer lots of space for our guests. In summer there are also plenty of parking spaces available.
